PBR Materials
Generate physically-based rendering (PBR) material texture sets in Studio from a text prompt.
A physically-based rendering (PBR) material is a set of texture maps you can apply to surfaces in 3D scenes for realistic lighting response. Generation runs as a background job.
What you get#
A material always includes a base color map, plus any of these optional maps you enable:
- Normal — surface detail and bumps
- Height — displacement
- Roughness — how matte or glossy the surface is
- Metalness — which parts read as metal
Settings#
- Prompt — Describe the surface ("weathered copper", "mossy stone", "brushed aluminium").
- Resolution — 512px, 1K, 2K, or 4K.
- Output format — PNG, JPEG, or WebP.
- Maps — Toggle which optional maps to generate alongside the base color.
Studio previews the material on a sphere so you can see how it tiles and reacts to light before downloading the individual maps.
Using your materials#
Materials are saved to your Asset Library and download as individual texture-map files you can apply to 3D models and scenes.
